NBC will bring back its Emmy-winning production of Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert.
This is an Editor’s Pick here at Atlanta On The Cheap — if you haven’t seen this version, you should put it on your calendar.
The show will air at 7 p.m. on Easter Sunday, April 12th, on the NBC network.
This spectacular production originally aired live on NBC back in 2018 on Easter Sunday.
The cast is amazing, and we love how diverse and inclusive it is, almost in the spirit of Hamilton.
Andrew Lloyd Webber is helping the social-distancing effort by releasing one of his musicals for FREE streaming every Friday. They run on his new YouTube channel, called The Shows Must Go On!
Each feature-length show will become available for streaming on YouTube at 2 p.m. on Friday and remain accessible—free of charge—for the next 48 hours.
Of course, the Good Friday release was Jesus Christ Superstar.
